The swimming pool

Ready to jump in

Everyday school day during Summer we go to our swimming pool for swimming lessons and for fun. In
Week 7 we had a water safety demonstration for our parents.

Budgie

We had a budgie come and visit us for the day.

Our junior playground

We have two playgrounds at our school – one for the juniors and one for the seniors.

Our school dinosaur

Our school dinosaur has an open book at his feet. The page it is opened on reads “Once upon a time a dragon guarded the treasure of knowledge”

Two of the boys in our class sitting on our school dinosaur.

Butterflies

Friday 12th March 2010: We had a swan plant in our class, which had caterpillars on it. We watched everyday as they form chrysalides (some on our ceiling) and then eventually hatched into butterflies. We followed this up by making catepillar and butterfly muffins.

The Beach

Ohope Beach is right across the road from our school. We go there for lots of actvities.

Here we are building a sandcastle at the beach

Our rainbow class

Our classroom name “Uenuku” means Rainbow. Here is our Rainbow mosaic.

Here we all are – learning and having fun!
